Union came out flying in the 3rd. They had a PP carried over from the 2nd but Harvard fought it off. Union kept that momentum going & finally got on the board when Mike Vecchione slapped a one-timer past Madsen. Union carried play throughout and scored again 6 minutes later. Sebastian Vidmar batted a rebound home to make it 4-2. Union coach Rick Bennett rolled the dice by pulling back-up goalie Joe Young with over 3 minutes to play and Ryan Donato made him pay. Hat Trick Donato! Union got another PP chance and out came Young again and Donato scored again. The Dutchmen outshot the Crimson 17-12. Harvard prevailed 6-2 leap frogging Union in the standings, and coupled with St. Lawrence falling @ Princeton, end the night in 1st place in the ECAC.
