This period started & ended in Dartmouth’s favor, which bodes well for the Big Green. An early power-play goal by Kevan Kilistoff @ 2:24 tied it for Dartmouth. They would take the lead one minute later when Corey Kalk scored. But only 2 minutes after that Harvard would tie again @ 3 when Louis Zerter-Gossage scored on a nice feed from Alexander Kerfoot. Tyler Moy would put Harvard back on top when one of the nation’s best Power Play units was given a chance. That would chase Buffalo from the Dartmouth goal. 2 more goals from Dartmouth @ 15:10 & 19:08 would equalize it & put them up going into the 3rd period. Some flukey goals certainly helped Dartmouth, namely the tying goal at 2-2, a funny bounce off the end board, and the tying goal for 4-4, a mishap out front when Madsen couldn’t tie up a rebound.

The Big Green have outperformed opponents in the 2nd all year & are 4-1-1 when leading after 2. The Crimson on the other hand are 1-3 when trailing after the 2nd.
